This route is a longer extended version of route 2, with an added 1.5km stretch leading to the Kalopanayotis winery and the village of Ikos. It is a medium-grade, circular route, suitable for hikers in good physical condition. Points of interest along this route include Theoskepasti chapel, with its 700-year-old scrub-oak in the churchyard, which locals believe is miraculous. Further on, there are two stunning panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Marathasa valley, and the Kalopanayotis winery, which is open for visitors.
